Pistol with adjustable sights

Postby Jim » Fri Mar 05, 2010 7:38 am

I'm new to pistol shooting, and waiting for my permit in the mail. I have a Beretta PX4 9mm (non-adjustable sights) on hold. Should I get a pistol with adjustable sights or is that not a big deal since I'm new at it. If so, any suggestions? Budget: $500-$600 Thanks

I am pretty sure you can swap out the sights on that model with adjustable ones if necessary. Just see how it shoots first.

Thanks Pete...
All I was able to find on the internet were night sights. Other people are looking for adjustable as well. The pistol has favorable reviews otherwise. I think I'll just learn to shoot first!

Jim, why did you decide on 9mm?

Come down on April 21, we start our new bullseye spring league @7PM. (We shoot .22LR in that league).

You can meet a lot of active shooters.

Hi Tony...my initial intention for getting a pistol was for home defense. I chose 9mm for cheaper ammo. Maybe I'll try the spring league. I'm hoping to have my permit by then.

Jim,

I hear you on the ammo prices, they are finally coming down from the stratosphere, but still not back to where the were.

We have had requests for centerfire in the Bulls Eye League, but only one or two guys are willing to spend on the ammo.
By comparision, we get about 15 guys shooting .22s
